Cucumber salad 


This fresh, healthy, and delicious recipe is sure to be a family favorite on any occasion. With only five simple ingredients, it’s easy to put together even on short notice. 

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cucumbers, thinly sliced crosswise

  • 1 ½ teaspoon sugar

  • 1 ½ teaspoon kosher salt

  • 2 ½ tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • ½ small onion, thinly sliced 

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss the cucumber slices with the sugar and salt.
  2. Let stand for 5 minutes. 
  3. Stir in the vinegar and onion.
  4. Refrigerate for 10 minutes before serving.
