Pillars of innovation

Our committed team of sustainable packaging experts consistently look for new and innovative ways to bring new sustainable packaging options to our customers and your consumers.

Substitution of paper for plastic

Paper decomposes very quickly and is almost entirely recyclable versus plastic that can take between 400 and 1,000 years to completely decompose.

Recyclable

Recyclable packaging includes cardboard boxes, pulp formats and paper based void fills. This paper goes to a facility, is soaked, chopped and reformed and is completely biodegradable through processing versus landfill compose.

Compostable

Compostable packaging is meant to decay completely into soil. Commercially compostable materials need to be sent to a facility to be properly decayed. If compostable packaging does end up in a landfill, it will generally still degrade faster than other materials.

Reduction of packaging altogether

Packaging is mandatory for many consumer goods, but produce is one of the few categories where significant headway in package reduction can be made. All reductions in packaging can lead to significant cost savings for suppliers and retailers.
